  1. The Horseshoe Bar near Central station is arguably the most famous in Glasgow. Dury Lane. Victorian Gin Palace style for you architecture fans. Also Stereo in Renfield Lane, very near the station too. I will be at Glasgow 2, first Glasgow U2 gig since 2001.
  2. ...oh and 31 years TO THE VERY DAY since 2nd ever U2 Glasgow gig at the Barrowlands. Amazing coincidence.

    You saw U2 at the Barrowlands?! You lucky man. Incredible venue.

    And Stereo is a good shout. I'm a seeing a band called Metz there on Thursday.
  4. Hoping someone can shed a bit of light on here.Im going to the concert on saturday.A bit confused about the tickets.
    It says in the email that the Type is Standing Ticket
    Row GA8
    It also says seat numbers.
    So are these seat tickets or standing?
    Would appreciate any feedback.

  5. Although they're not actually seats, venues segment the standing room into blocks and give those blocks numbers in much the same way as the seats. I think it's just for their own organisational purposes; not sure if it affects whether you end up north or south side.

    06 + 07 November 2015 | SECC - The SSE Hydro

    To allow as many fans as possible get closer to their favourite artist, the U2 concerts were sold with Paperless Tickets!

    As a booker of Paperless Tickets please note the unique entry instructions for this event to gain access to the venue on the night:

    IMPORTANT - Please enter The SSE Hydro at the East Entrance - signed ‘East Entrance Standing Only’ (as below).



    • You must be present on entry to the venue with any persons accompanying you;
    • You need to show a printed copy of your booking confirmation email;
    • You have to bring the debit/credit card used at the time of booking (or an up-to-date card);
    • You are required to show valid photographic ID, to match the details on the debit/credit card;
    • Your debit/credit card will be swiped and your booking will be confirmed;
    • You and your party will be issued with a wristband and this will give you access to the venue.

    More details of the event, times and how to get here will follow in a day or so.

  7. Got that email too.
    So guessing that as it says East entrance standing only they are ga tickets for standing.
    Wouldve been alot simpler if they issued tickets.
    You still have to produce a hard copy of the confirmation email plus photo I.D.
    Just want everything to go smoothly so we have a great time.
  8. We are a party of six travelling from Norway to attend both shows For the 6th november we are one ticket short (GA). Please contact me if you know of any possibilities, so we can get the last person also in on the show.

  9. No GA but still a few seated on the website .. cheapest £100 ..and this is a show that you should see from the seated area at least once.
  10. Attending on Saturday but have decided not to queue up early this time as will get a decent view from wherever on the floor.

    Arriving in Glasgow on Friday, can anybody suggest the best area for a night out- bars, clubs, etc.
