1. Arguably, yes, he sounded horrible, but his voice suited the music. Hence why they got so popular at the time. A ballsy band that outdone hundreds of laughable glam rock bands in that era, i.e. Warrant, Ratt, Winger etc.

Admittedly, Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge, who sings for Slash, can perform the Guns N' Roses songs better. In my opinion, of course.
  2. This goat would do better than Axl nowadays.

    In my opinion, of course.

  3. I have seen the new lineup 3 times. And the old lineup twice. Axl's voice was good to great twice, and awful once. His style will always make it a crapshoot. I would welcome the original lineup or any band Axl puts together. They all have been awesome bands, and the new band, Axl has always played 3 hours or more, good or bad voice, and gives everything he has. I don't even mind the shows starting after 1:00 AM. You know what you are getting with Axl.

  4. agree with kieran ...Stay quite GNR we dont need embarrassing situations
  5. So the million dollar question is: Would Slash play the solos in the songs from Chinese Democracy?
  6. For the record: If I'm around, I'll go. I can be a sucker for nostalgia.

You sure have a track record for being wrong. It would be a good thing for the younger crowds who either weren't born then or simply weren't old enough to enjoy the old GNR line-up.

And those shows would sell out fast.
  8. so rumors suggests this kind of line-up
Axl - Slash - Duff - Dizzy Reed - Frank Ferrer - Richard Fortus
  9. That's a cool line-up. Maybe except Frank Ferrer, that is.

So the million dollar question is: Would Slash play the solos in the songs from Chinese Democracy?

Don't see why not. If Duff can do bass to those same songs...
  10. Ditto. Appetite is a terrific album, and I especially love the illusions
  11. Appetite is one of the greatest ever - a "game changer" much like Nirvana's Nevermind.
  12. No Sorum or Adler?
