1. Now that paris 1987 is, whats your favourite DVD?? my favourite always used to be Slane castle. that was also the first one i owned. but now paris 1987 is probably my favourite, has some of my favourite songs on it, i will follow, ISHFWILF, BAD, unforgettable fire, 40 and i love the version of with or without you. Slane is still very close 2nd favourite though.
    1 Paris 1987
    2 Slane castle
    3 chicago
    4 rattle and hum
    5 zootv
    6 live in milan.
i dont own popmart or boston
  2. Hmmm...only three that I really like:

    Joshua Tree Paris 1987-07-04
I'd say because of the amazing vocals and awesome audience. And it's not overproduced! Plus all of the extra bits and pieces like the Daltons, the unreleased videos of With or Without You and Red Hill Mining Town, the Outside It's America documentary (is there anything else?) make for a great little compilation. Why this wasn't released as the official Joshua Tree show ten years ago, I don't know.

    POPmart Mexico City 1997-12-03
I love the colours and the remastered 5.1 DTS soundtrack, particularly during Mofo. The most amazing part is the falsetto at the end of Please leading into Where The Streets Have No Name - pure genius. You have to have this one - and the second disc is stuffed full of features that are awesome to watch. Only did I win the 'What's Missing From The Shopping Trolley' game the other day and saw the Please performance.

    ZooTV Sydney 1993-11-27
As good (if not better) than Mexico City's soundtrack and it looks amazing. Sydney and U2 should be proud of this one, even with the omitted songs. They're in top form on the video recording - and Adam did an amazing job considering his situation of the night before.

    Joshua Tree Los Angeles 1987-11-18
One of the best JT shows. Great voice, awesome set list...need I say more? Even if it wasn't a pro-shot it'd still top my list.
  3. the paris dvd is good but slane still tops my list. not for the performance (bonos voice was ripped to sheds) but because of the emotion involved. you just really can feel it.
honorable mention to zoo tv sydney also - a massive achievement.
  4. Slane
    Popmart Santiago
    Sydney
    Mexico
    Paris
  5. I simply can't choose between Zoo Sydney and Slane. They both are awesome DVDs, with incredible crowds and performances, etc... And they both have special meanings for me: when I was a 5-year boy I watched very often the Sydney VHS we recorded from the PPV Spanish TV, but Slane was the first DVD I ever bought...
  6. i know it's not an official realse but my favourie dvd is the Sao Paulo show from the 20/2/06.
i think it's far much better than the chicago and milan dvd's. on the second place it's the boston dvd. the chicago dvd is in the last place.

Thought I should mention...ZooTV Sydney is also an emotional performance. Read the bit from U2ByU2, they were all very messed up due to Adam's situation, and watch With Or Without You from that show again, Bono is full of emotions, and it's about Adam, he turns to Adam's direction singing the bit :"and you give...and you give...and you give...!"
