  1. Get your reviews posted once you've had time to digest it all.
  2. will write a proper list of thoughts when i get a minute, but one of the things i was most impressed by (and again, this might be an obvious point to people who've seen multiple shows so far) is how well managed the scale and size of the show's production is.

it seemed to be able to morph on cue, especially where i was standing at the catwalk, in the middle of it all. it was a massive, cavernous arena extravaganza when it needed to be (Pride, Streets, Bad/40, most of the obligatory hits to be fair) but the E-stage and catwalk songs made you forget at times that you were in a huge gig - especially during SFS and the whole Mysterious Ways through to October segment, it seemed even more intimate than a lot of the 'smaller' shows i've been to in a long while.

now clearly that's the whole point of a B stage section, but it's the first time i've seen a gig have one that's actually pulled the dichotomy off so well.

anyway, i'll stop for now before my fanboy rant gets too long!

  3. Got to meet this legend last night..
  4. both shows awesome energy, show nr 2 I was upfront rail edge side with one guy next to me on left, then barrier redzone .. first one girl passed out, later a huge guy, he was heavy as we lifted him over the barrier .... he did make it back for the ending, lucky boy ...

and yes, the guitar playing sucked bigtime from those pull ups .. joe mixed them out fast, and back in at the end ... and what mexican can NOT sing labamba ?

anyhow no complaining, just being honest, and not dangerous .....
show was utter magical .. being upfront for both shows was a first this tour, but I guess the right moment for that, the way the boys communicated and fed off the crowd ... unforgettable

Was this on Edge's side? We were just behind and saw the guy get lifted over the barrier.
  6. ^ i cringed as the two Mexican kids started playing, mercifully they got the volume put right down as soon as the song properly started.

at the risk of sounding like a dick/spoiled sport - coming half the way around the world to play with U2, you'd think you'd have learned the four chords first, no?

These guys have t-shirts of themselves on stage with Bono from the last time. I disliked them very much so we shall be hand in hand in our dickyness.

    Add me!
  9. ha ha ... these guys think they are rockstars themselves, the wee boy wearing these huge sunglasses ALL the time ... even outside waiting for the band to arrive at the venue ... ah welll .. each their thing ...

the fainted guy was indeed edge side, girl too ...

forgot to mention entry procedure total madness .... : ga line, searched ... metal detector .... then they scan my credit card, was waiting to get a small paper ticket that I would then exchange for the wristband, like on day one, but no ... they told me to simply enter the venue and ask for the wristband .... JUST like any other seated person could do ... unbelievable ... you just walk up to the place on the left and get a wristband and voila .... that is why it was so packed on the floor !!!
