Yes i don't mind a bit of waiting either
  3. what happens to the tour dvd though, I wonder. I don't think they'll record the postponed paris gigs, seems too short notice, especially in connection with the hbo live deal. maybe we'll get the tour documentary some time soon though...
  4. ITT: Bitching about all aspects of the tour because your hurting that it's almost over.

I'm willing to be called out on it: I think that this tour will be remembered very positively in time.

I think they will still record Paris and record it for HBO.
  6. as sad as i am about hearing that the 2nd part of the tour is probably starting much later than we tought a few months back... i am glad that it wont clash with any of the coldplay dates & i have some time to actually save up and maybe this time go to another country to see a show - who knows... so postponing is fine by me - just please not cancelled...
  7. I think it makes sense for the boys to do a euro summer stadium tour and close for the winter and the release of songs of experience. Something similar to the vertigo tour perhaps, to me it would be the most probable outcome.... Or a few more indoor dates ( to cities not yet had a taste) and close for the winter release of SOE and continue with a stadium tour in 2017.. After which a very long break most probably, since it takes them so long to write and rec an album these days. For me they always kick Arse...but slowly running out of steam.... Do we want them to become the next Rolling Stones ( as far as touring goes??) be far better to end on a high, but that's a question for them to think on????

I think it will be remembered as one of the very best.

    1) Various staff members talked to fans and disclosed this info and the reasoning behind it: new album takes more time.

    2) Sources from national promoters/venues in countries where U2 had tentatively booked venues have disclosed info to the same fans that U2 cancelled all their plans.

The second sources originate from several countries.

Until it becomes more official or some staff member is willing to stake their job on touting that info as legit, I'm not entirely convinced. The reason I say this is because I look back to the day before SOI was released for free and pretty much everyone and their mothers were saying that U2's appearance with Apple would only be to announce a new partnership. I think U2 is ok with this news leaking around, but I'm not going to bite just yet.
  10. Yeap, exactly what I think. It might be true, but it might just as well be not. Let's wait and see. If there are no dates announced after the Paris shows (before Christmas), I would tend to think that we won't see them in Europe in 2016, but until then I think it is 50/50

And honestly - I don't think that if they now worked 1/2 - 1 year on a new album, they would resume the IE tour with the Experience album done. I can't recall any other tour with pretty much a one year break in the middle. And on the other hand - having another tour about a year after this one sound just as unrealistic. Plus this tour went so well, and there are so many countries and event continents they haven't visited, that this simply can not be it.

Now, about the album - they need more time to finnish it? Until May is not enough? 6 months? To finish it? Really? Beatles made their whole first album in 1 day. I know, I know - a young band, well rehearsed material, a lot of covers. But still... Don't get me wrong, I know and fully agree that they don't HAVE to do absolutely anything, they don't owe anything to anybody, they can do whatever they please. But to kill this tour because 6 months is not enough to finish the album as the reason...sorry, I don't buy that.

I know absolutely nothing either, but I would bet that this is most definitely not it for the IE tour (unless, of course, they rename the next leg something different) And I would also bet that they'll be making the studio their second home when the Paris rescheds are done getting SOE done. An honestly, I think they'd kill plans to get the album finished now before they'd kill the tour.
