In our sightseeing trip on the north side of Dublin our taxi driver took us for a slight detour to see the remains of the last of the seven Ballymun towers that the song RTSS refers to. Demolition of the Joseph Plunkett tower began september 22 and it took little less than 2 days to end up like in the picture.
The taxi driver confirmed the problems in the area in especially the eighties (drug & alcohol use, single parent families, unemployment, suicides).
