Hmm ok, I can see that point. Though I think Bono's vocals are much different.
  2. Then, I'm all for covers.

Playing a cover live is a really great show of respect and admiration... there you are in front of your people, with the stage to yourself, and you go and play someone else's song just because you like it so much that you want to play it.

Honestly, I would've expected something better from Jack White's fans... for starters, that they knew before hand that that was not Jack White's song and then try to appreciate the original version.

And I love Jack White's version. (Almost) The whole album was great.

  3. I was listening to SOI today and it made realise how much I miss the tour already. I saw seven shows and by Dublin 4, I was exhausted. I didn't want to see any more. But listening to the likes of Cedarwood Road, The Miracle and Raised by Wolves just made me want to be at a U2 show again.

Also, I was just watching this clip and Bono is hilarious in it. Forgot to actually add the video: it was the Kmart Popmart announcement.

The Edge: 'The pizza outlets are done for now.'
    Bono: 'I'm on SlimFast.'
  4. I hate that the Vertigo tour killed Streets. That cheer when the flash went up has been lost forever. Fuck you, Vertigo tour.

Sounded just fine on the 360 and i+e tours I saw.
  6. Then song itself is OK but that euphoric roar during the flash is all but gone.
  7. I prefer Vertigo versions than 360 and i-e
  8. Vertigo version sucks... all the triangle Pride/Streets/One really sucked during Vertigo tour. All the African flags, all the politics speeches was too much. I don't mind some mentions, but this was too much and ruined all those songs...

360 Streets was okay, i+e miles better... even better when they found better place for it in Europe
