Though, if I were a contest winner to show up on stage with any band, you can bet I'd at least be wearing one of their concert shirts. And if it were U2, it'd be my oldest shirt, like my Red Rocks or UF shirt.

This is why I hate contests like that. The true fans never win
True fans aren't measured by how old of a concert shirt you have. I laugh at fools wearing threadworn Joshua Tree tour shirts like that are all bad ass.
  3. YES!!!!

Maybe not, (and I never said that it was) but it's a sign to other fans that we've been around a while and supporting a band we love for more than just the latest album. And I wouldn't say they (or I) wear a threadworn shirt to be "all bad ass".
  5. What a show, what a tour, what a band.
  6. Singer from EODM
"I fucking love you, I'll never stop rocking and rolling!"
  7. So they are broacasting PHTP + I Love You All the Time. Fantastic

    Also, fuck you terrorists
  8. This is just incredibly cathartic to watch... and I'm just watching! Can't imagine being those guys up on stage... amazing.
  9. Who cares how long you've been around or a fan. If I first saw them in 83 does that make me a better fan than someone that found them later?
  10. I can't wait to see dvd with I'm hoping songs from last night and slightly better edits of these shows
Thought some moments where amazing and some they were focusing on wrong thing. I'm sure it will be very different finished product
Still amazing show with a lot of emotion from Bono
  11. Just saw in the credits copywrites of snippets they didn't do like "send in the clowns"

Dude, you're reading way more into this than exists. I never said a anything made me a better fan than anyone else. I merely said, if I was lucky enough to go on stage with *any band* I'd wear one of *their* t-shirts, and if if it was U2, I'd find my oldest one.

It has nothing to do with, it's a sign of respect to the band that I've been following them for a while. That's it. If you're that insecure that you need to slam people who wear old t-shirts, have fun.
