    The 7th is the real HBO broadcast. The 6th is a leaked version but is of the same quality, its just another show. So they are both "real", and both HBO-quality. The only difference is the show, and the fact that the 7th is broadcasted on TV.

    ...but this "real version" is not in Dolby Digital 5.1 . It contains - like all the other "leaked" versions - only the encoded Dolby E audio track. It seems that this version is only the SAT - transfer (from Paris to HBO) but not the actually running TV-Show.
  3. I'm watching this Elevation 'get-all-the-fans-onstage' malarkey on the pro-shot, and is it just me or is the band playing the song as quickly as they possibly can to get the parade off stage? It looks absolutely ridiculous. Was it absolutely necessary to get that many fans on stage?
  4. I think it was very much a HBO/Live Nation thing. Mark spoke about his experience on the atu2 podcast and said that the competition winners weren't told that they were going on stage until Mysterious Ways, after Trish had been pulled on, and none of them met the band outside of the show.

    But I agree, it was ridiculous. I'll probably use Elevation for a piss break when I watch it for the first time on BBC 2. I'm glad the tour has finished if it means all of this nonsense is over.

  7. Of course it was scripted. She was a competition winner, standing with the others on the front row by the e-stage. Bono was probably told where to look and he picked one out.

    Canal+ in France will show the HBO documentary on the 22nd December at 22:40 it would appear. Another one to add to the list.

    So the rest of the competition winners then got drafted backstage during the intermission to come on stage during Elevation?

    They were told during Mysterious Ways, not earlier.

  12. I was very impressed that they performed numerous takes of the new song "Streets Of Surrender" at the soundcheck of the 6th. Too bad they decided not to perform it for the shows.
