1. I absolutely love it as a very underrated album.

But I've always see it as a half-baked rushed out album itself... more like a really awesome EP instead of a full length LP. In my mind I can't help but see it as some sort of Achtung Baby reprise (which contains one of their best songs ever in the title track).

Anyway, like I said, I absolutely love it as a very underrated album.

But it's supposed to BE a continuation of Achtung Baby, in terms of the character that Bono was trying to portray on that album. it SHOULD be seen as a reprise.

I always view that whole era as one single campaign, not two separate albums with a separate tour. Achtung Baby and Zooropa without each other and without ZooTV would make each single thing totally different.
  3. Love the whole album up until The Wanderer. Never understood the love for that song.

    Exactly.

I struggle to understand when people consider it the best album or so, not because I particularly disagree with that opinion, (I'm not sure, but iirc it's in my top 5) but because I see it as a "minor" album, no matter how great it is.
The second half (side B back then ) -to me- sounds like they rushed to fill it up...

Still, like I said, great album.

Zooropa and Some Days are a couple of my favorite songs. And why all the hate for Babyface? I always thought it was a cool, unique-sounding tune.

Anyway, I've just been listening to the album a lot more lately, it's my favorite U2 album. There's not a track I'd skip on it.

I love the album ...but babyface is one of the weakest song made by U2
  6. As some of you may know, this is my favourite U2 album.

    It is fantastic.
  7. Daddy's Gonna Pay is so much better live. The album version is ok but live it is fantastic.

  8. It is much better live. Same goes for Dirty Day, and the version of Lemon live from Sydney is awesome.

They really should try more live material from Zooropa.
  9. Wait.. There are people that hate Zooropa?

    Impossible!
  10. I really don't get the hate for Babyface - I think it's just great. The silly lyrics, great bassline, etc. I think it was a good fit for the album and its feel. The only song that bugs me on the album is Daddy's Gonna Pay - I really like it live, but the album recording sounds so bland in comparison. Dirty Day has a little bit of that problem, but not nearly as much.
