1. October/Bullet/Zooropa/Streets at European leg
Gloria and Bad/40 on my London 6 show - even if I was almost sure it will be played...
    Setlist parties here
  2. Indeed, October - Bullet - Zooropa - Streets might be U2's best sequence ever.
  3. The whole Glasgow 2 gig. Unbelievable gig, great crowd and we got Gloria. Great great night
  4. Loved the Two gigs I went to in London and Dublin the new songs were amazing live. The best gig I tuned in to on here was Glasgow 2. And finally this site simply amazing thnaks to Remy and all the folks who run it some great people.
  5. Gloria + October Amsterdam 2.

    Cologne1
  6. We attended two shows of the i&e tour. Amsterdam 4 and Cologne 1. To me both shows were totally differen ones. The Amsterdam show was very moving I think (to me at least), very emotional. I remember bonos voice getting very weak while singing iris. and then cologne as a rock show. more close to 360. then the show before. what I noticed for me on the two shows I went there we just a few teens or twens in the audience ... so maybee it had to do with the ticket prices or u2 did not get in touch with these target group this time. did anyone else notice that?
  7. I attended 4 shows this time around. PHX 1-2 / LA 3-4. I'll try to come up with some highlights for all four.

    For now, PHX 1:

It was a special weekend all around for me. Memorial Day Weekend vacation in Phoenix, couple extra days off work, staying right smack dab in the middle of downtown Phoenix not more than a 5 minute walk from the arena. All with my childhood friend, Makaila, who'd never been to a concert of any kind before.

I will say, of the 4 I went to, this one has to be my favorite. If nothing more than seeing the show for the first time. I don't really even mean the songs, because some were hit & miss that night. But I mean the performance, the story telling. Iris->Cedarwood->SFS, SBS->Wovles->UTEOTW, In God's Country (a complete surprise), Bullet (which was a very pleasant surprise after the Vertigo incarnation). It was theater almost more so than a concert, and it was brilliant. They were back and in great form, while still working out some of the early kinks of the show.

Now, Makaila is my friend from high school, a 20-something girl who, like most 20-something girls these days, grew up listening to rap, hip-hop, ect. not really Rock & surely not U2. She has an iPhone and obviously got SOI for that reason, gave it an honest listen and liked it. So it was a blast to see her singing along to all the new songs. And to see her surprise when she could sing songs she didn't know she knew like I Will Follow, Mysterious Ways, Streets, WOWY, ISHFWILF was thoroughly enjoyable.

It was a memorable night getting to see the spectacle that is/was the I+E Tour for the first & getting to share that night with one of my dearest friends.

And of course, a true highlight for me, was running into this gentleman out front of The Forum before night 3, both of us wearing our Shirts of Innocence.
  9. this is easy for me, Glasgow 2, simply blew the roof of the place
  10. You could well be right Remy...

Streets has had great transitions eg. Running to Stand Still and Please ...but the way Bullet is now and with Zooropa having found it's real meaning and place that is an amazingly uplifting and poignant 4 song sequence.
  11. Burning Down the House complementing perfectly Mysterious Ways.
  12. The new Bullet, including the Discovery of the Megaphone.
