1. Nope. I'm glad it's over.

  2. This year had run its course.
  3. Although it got a bit too predictable towards the end it does feel like it was too short, like the elevation tour. At least with Zoo, Pop, Vertigo and 360 we knew there were more shows coming up in the new year.

    That's U2 unfortunately. All the ideas and no execution these days.
  5. You must be suffering from burn out...to do 6 in a row you should be on the payroll !
  6. Haha, attending a show is a whole different story. I wanted tickets to Barca 4 after attending Barca 3, I wanted tickets to Glasgow after attending all six in London and I wanted to go to Paris for the final two shows. But without tickets, I don't quite have the same buzz for it as I did in North America and leading up to my shows. The U2start coverage takes it out of you as well I must've listened to 90% of the shows this tour as they happened.

    I'll have these two or three weeks off now and then relive the tour through the HBO broadcast when it airs on BBC.
  7. I for one, don't feel it's over. In 1992 they promised to 'go mega on us' next year, which of course they did. I can't believe that it will be 2019/20 before the next.

    I must admit that I deliberately did not follow the US/Europe shows till just before my first O2 gig since I wanted the surprise.

    This tour has taught me a lot...for example:

    For 20 years I never got Zooropa, now i get it, totally;

    I never thought there would be a better a Streets transition than Running to Stand Still, but there is;

    I got fed up with Bullet in earlier tours but now it is an absolute triumph; a masterpiece;

    i didn't get the new album but now I get (most of it, NOT Joey though) and love it;

    UTEOTW I always loved but witnessed at several shows the amount of energy that the intro to that song just pumps in to an arena, it is astonishing and takes a show to a new level;

    I love Invisible now and the stunning visuals;

    I could never do without Mysterious Ways and love the crowd interaction;

    i got to see Angel of Harlem at last after a 27 year wait;

    I was spoiled by seeing Bad and Patti and All I want is You and Gloria and New Years Day and thinking 'this is normal' !

    I did not think that after 31 years i could closer than ever to the band than my first gig but with the amazing I+E set I could and did !

    i had the privilege of seeing them 31 years to the day of my first/second gig and they name checked the Barrowlands;

    Contrary to some others here I love One and Elevation, but not BD or particularly WOWY (apart from as a shell for Beatles snippets and Shine Like Stars !);

    Again Streets, Streets, Streets...though I prefer to be in a crowd of 80,000 for this !

    U2 are always touring at the time of big world events 99/11, 7/7, Sarajevo, etc. but I really wish it was not the way it turned out in Paris. Even the day before the cancelled gig of 14th Nov. I felt uneasy, then again if any band can handle it, our band can and do the right thing...Liberté, égalité, fraternité !

    Finally, I do so miss ISHFWILF....WILF, where are you ?!

    You know you are right in a way...I go into very deep dormant between tours,,,sometimes listening to nothing U2 for ages, or maybe just one show very regularly and nothing else.

    It is addictive...I wanted to go back tp Paris for the finale but who can have the time or money to do all these things.

  9. They are playing for the long game and personally I like it. Rather than seeing the same show travel across the world, we have the opportunity to see them come back in less than 4 years with something that could be totally new.
  10. Part of this song is played in the radio intro of RBW
  11. ZooTv evolved into Outside Broadcast / Zooropa and finally Zoomerang.
    Ie may go a similar way especially with a new album due so soon
