1. Some great quotes in there, indeed!

One of the more interesting ones for me was Bono talking about the band listening to a lot of The Police's first few albums, saying they would likely have a big influence on the final product of Songs of Experience. Sounds good to me!

(Quite the segue from talking about how his blond hair during the tour was a nod to the punk/New Wave era of the late 70s, too!)
  2. Bono in fine form at Davos - and pretty brief, for him.

  3. An only 12 minutes for the 10th anniversary speech? Surprising
  4. I really like Bono's remarks here. Some of his speeches can get a bit long and rambling, but this one was concise. He's basically saying 10 years of existence is great, but we still have a job to do. RED has been an intriguing organization to follow because it capitalizes on the world's obsession with consumerism.
  5. Yes... he had longer speeches during concerts, right? Larry can tell
  6. I want to say the Vertigo Tour wins in terms of Bono's longest speeches.
  7. bono the edge in Nice
  8. Bill Gates has included One in his Desert Island playlist for the BBC:

U2 - One: "Paul told me that I should meet Bono, and I didn't prioritise it. We finally did get to meet and I was amazed how he had thought about [global health] read about it, and so started a partnership. He has been absolutely amazing."

  9. Didn't Larry fall asleep during one of his speeches?
