1. I'm a bit done with all the collector stuff like this. I'd rather have music. The music gifts are always the best: U22, FTGU, Slane, Zoo TV, Medium Rare, the vinyl of last year. I don't really care anymore about books and stuff. They just end up on a pile somewhere.

    Indeed.
  3. Honestly I'd even welcome remixes

Today I opend it for the second time and put it away instantly - again - it looks soooo boooring. So what do you say? Shall I bother and shall I try to read?

I did read the book. Nothing earth-shattering or nothing you don't already know by now. But it was still an interesting read, if only because I'm not that familiar with Dublin in the late 70's. Several interviews about how the U23 EP was promoted on the radio, how they got to play in a venue, etc.
  5. Music of course would be the best gift, but these prints look pretty cool!
  6. it's not a great gift, maybe 'cause economic crisis? Past years were much better
  7. Well the litographs are originally 100 dollars each.. (which probably says more about what they are really worth than about what's U2 willing to give in )

  8. I usually get them at craft stores. You can buy pairs of metal frame strips at any length and screw them together. Buy a piece of plexiglass at any home improvement store and have them cut it to size. Custom frame for under $20!
  9. Something like U22 again would be fun.

Perhaps 2 live CDS: the first one curated by the band (basically Miracle thru Invisible) then a second disc voted by fans. Or just make all tracks available and let fans custom order their own disc.
  10. Not happy with this one. I probably won't renew unless they play within 500 miles of me, which they did not on this tour. Sad, but the music is all I really care about anymore. Pictures to me were cool when you did not have dvd and videos. A lost art from the 1970's and 80's. As cool as they are, don't need to look at them anymore.

I agree. I would have been more excited for 4 prints of variety of time periods instead of all recent pics.
