1. oh what i'd give for a quality oasis reunion tour. quickly becoming one of my favourite bands

    love this

  2. ^ the poor guy who posted above you definitely agrees

I'm not sure an Oasis reunion could work, really. I mean, the songs are there and always will be, but the feeling, the chemistry between them is gone for good. I would prefer if Noel performed all his great Oasis songs instead of just a few selected ones, and just leave Liam out of the equation altogether.

But Noel sings it too differently than Liam... too soft and high if you compare it with Liams energy and voice colour...
  4. At least Noel can reach any note the song demands, and sings in tune all the time
  5. word. I can't get into oasis because liam sounds horrible, makes my ears bleed. any time noel sings the songs I instantly love them.
  6. Liam's voice is not good live. It's okay in general, but Noel's is 10000x better.
  7. I don't say Liam is better singer. I just don't like the way Noel sings... it's like crying to me... thats all...
But it won't happen anyway, so it's pointless lol
  8. I'm sure I've stated this before but, what the heck, I'll state it again: I REALLY want Oasis to do a reunion tour....much more that I want this GNR one but....

...Noel doesn't need it (LIam probably does). He's doing just fine on his own. He has written great tunes on his own, sung great Oasis tunes from the start, and can even expertly sing many of the ones Liam originally had lead vocals on.

I agree 100% that Liam adds that swagger (that's the word Dylan gave me a few months back) - it's fantastic- but maybe Noel should keep his dignity (and patience) and not reform with Liam.

    Maybe.
  9. WE ALL know that Liam Gallagher is a little volatile, but this story is insane.
Sacha Baron Cohen, who is currently promoting his new movie Grimsby, told talk show host Conan O’Brien that the former Oasis singer once threatened to stab him in the eye.
The altercation took place on the night of the GQ Awards in London, where Cohen was receiving an award.
“I said to my wife, ‘I’m going to make a joke about Liam Gallagher, he’s going to be there’,” said Cohen to O’Brien.
“And she said, ‘Do not do that, Liam Gallagher has a history of violence’.
“I went up to Liam Gallagher before the awards show. I said, ‘Listen, I’m going to make a joke about you, is that OK?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, no problem’.”
But when Cohen got up on stage to accept his award, he didn’t get around to cracking his Gallagher gag.

“Cut to the after-party later on,” said Cohen.
“He’s (Liam Gallagher) sitting next to Bono on a couch and I go and sit next to Bono. Liam Gallagher goes, ‘Why the f**k didn’t you take the piss out of me tonight?’
    “I said, ‘pardon me?’
“He goes, ‘Why the f**k didn’t you say the joke about me tonight?’
“I said, ‘Well I just didn’t get round to it.’
“He goes, ‘What do you mean you f**king didn’t get around to it?’
“And then he goes, ‘You know what? I’m going to stab you ... I’m going to stab you in the eye!’
“And I thought to myself, ‘Wow! I’ve never heard such a specific threat’.”
Gallagher didn’t end up stabbing Cohen, but the funny man thought he’d try and smooth things over with the rock star by basing a character on him in Grimsby, which will be released in Australia on March 10.
