  1. Thanks Sergio
  2. [Rumour]

The brazilian site U2BR said that are a rumour on internet with new dates:

    - North America from September 2016
    - South America in February 2017 (in stages)
    - Australia / New Zealand in March 2017
    - Japan in April 2017
    - Hawaii in April 2017

    Font: who knows?
  3. Yea, hard to say if it is based on some inside information, or if somebody just wrote it down because it is logical, which it is. The rumour of the Autumn tour in the US has been there for quite a while and since Summer is a logical time for the European tour, the SA / Asia makes snese during the Spring.

There have been many "rumours" like these the past few months. The original rumour of this one also included a European Tour in the summer. So not really trustworthy.

Since Adam mentioned they still need to finish half of the album I find it more and more unlikely any touring will happen this year.

Of course I hope I am very wrong Hawaii sounds too good to be true.
  5. Well, the next Apple keynote is TOMORROW so they best get a move on if those September dates are real
  6. I'm ready for SOE to be forcibly downloaded onto my itunes account.
  7. And then hear half of the people I know complain about it.
  8. I know right?

It boggles my mind that the same people who complained about getting an album for free are those who will illegally download music because they think albums are too expensive...

    fuck the haters :p
  10. In the end, I think it got them quite a few new fans. The people who hated them still hated them, but people who didn't know about U2 got a nice freebie.
  11. The people that just hated them are just sour people that are missing out

    From reddit last week:
When I found Invisible, I listened to it probably 50 times on repeat (that’s a lot of times to listen to a song on repeat…) then checked out a couple of their albums. I started seeing talk of U2 possibly being at the Apple event in 2014 and got pretty excited. I absolutely loved Songs of Innocence when it was released and it pulled me into being a U2 fan pretty fast.
Now, U2 is my favorite band hands down and I believe I’m obsessed with U2. I have probably 10 CDs, lots of digital purchases, U2 by U2, and a few pairs of Bono sunglasses, among other things. I’m even trying to start a tribute act. For now, it’s just me performing “as Bono” to backing tracks.

I know it's just anecdotal, but I've heard more than a couple of SOI success stories.
