1. Notably worse setlist than Dublin... Map Of The Problematic for Fuckingclosed Desires, Take A Bow out with no replacement, Citizen Erased for Resistance?! REALLY!?
  2. indeed, Morgan does LOTS of work regarding keyboards, samples, backing vocals and even additional guitars, but at least they show him onstage instead of hiding them underneath like some Irish do

and I thought you don't like Take A Bow
  4. It's not my favourite song but I'd rather have it than not, that's for sure.
  5. Morning after. Sore head. Gig left no great impression on me.
  6. You hadn't seen them before Ger? I remember you fiddling around with the idea of seeing them back in 2013 but can't recall if you actually did.

This was my first indeed. I definitely missed their peak.
  8. I just expected more. They are quite boring on stage. Not am attempt at any banter. All heavily choreographed, Matt was too low in the mix where I was sitting, short set (2 song encore), full crowd.

I'm known for being fairly critical but the talk in the bar after from long term Muse men wasn't positive either. One chap said it was the worst he'd seen them in ten years.
  9. This tour has been such a mixed bag after so much early promise. I'm still looking forward to seeing them, but it's quite clear they are dimming. I was offered a cheap decent seated ticket for the second night in Glasgow - think I'll turn it down.
  10. Also, has anyone caught Nothing but Thieves as support yet? I'm seeing them tonight at a headline show in Glasgow, and so far I'm very impressed by their album.

Wow that's harsh but probably true. You definitely did miss their peak. I think they were at the real top of their game back in 2009-2010, when they had just jumped from arenas to stadiums and, even though they were promoting their first really mediocre album (The Resistance) so they didn't have so many mediocre staples as they do now and their older songs choice was still great.

Matt has never been known for banter or ranting tho. And his accent is terrible so even if he did nobody would get it
  12. Heading to my sixteenth gig at Manchester on Saturday night. I hope it isn't the same as last night. Undisclosed Desires/Take A Bow is a shocking rotation. Resistance instead of MotP is pretty crappy as well.

I'm just happy Apocalypse Please is still getting played this tour, it's the only song they've had on rotation this tour that I haven't heard yet so I'm desperate to see it! The biggest issue with their sets this tour is how criminally short they are, 17 full songs when they did 19/20 in arenas last time round. Matt's voice has had its ups and downs on this tour, so that's probably why. Shame.
