You asked for her credentials, you got it. Also, you view on activism is totally wrong. Saying "of course I'd help out if I was swimming in money" is total garbage considering the number of millionaires/billionaires in the world who won't even spend a dime on child support. To say Ali's success is just her riding on the coattails of Bono is to desecrate her character and Bono's character as well. Also, I wonder if you are familiar with the concept of marriage. The fact Ali and Bono are married means there is no such thing as an "independent project." I'm sure Bono contributes to Ali's efforts and vice versa. Furthermore, why should you have a problem with this? If anything, it should show how amazing Bono and Ali are as a couple, being able to accomplish so much as a unit.
  2. Bono and Ali are by far my favourite celebrity couple. Good on her for her work
  3. Also, whilst Ali may have technically 'married a rock star' when they tied the knot in 1982, they were childhood sweethearts long before Bono was a rock star.

Consequently, I've no doubt that *much* of what must drive Bono, and *much* of the person Bono is down the years and to this very day is down to Ali. And because of that, quite probably U2, their music, creativity and longevity may not have ever existed in the form we know and love - maybe at all without Ali's love and support.

The whole U2 thing sometimes seems like an alignment of the planets all at the right time. Ali is one of those planets.

I stood face to face with her once. Bono's a very lucky man!
  4. AAAAANYWAY, lets stay on topic :

Apparently Edge attended a ceremony and met pope Francis today.

  5. Edge never ages with that hat.
  6. Edge did his aging in his 20's and 30's and is apparently done now Some (suitable) line's here and there but that seems to be it.

And yeah, bummer he missed out on the beanie swapping !
  7. Bono gave John Paul II a pair of sunglasses, Edge should've definitely gave Francis a hat!

  8. they should've swapped headgear alltogether! Edge with that white cap ::+
  9. New album!
    Songs Of Procrastinating
  10. Hopefully Edge has had a reawakening after meeting Pope Francis and will use god-like shimmer on Songs of Experience.

    I love shimmer.
