1. too sad he is too much of a perfectionist so we probably never get that solo album he (like recently admitted) already thought about.
he's so incredibly gifted with that voice - and all his musical skills to turn a simple guitar and his voice into something that beautiful.
  2. What an honor for a Christian to be the first contemporary artist to play the Sistine Chapel, really... He must be absolutely overwhelmed. What an experience just one week after losing his father...
  3. While we are all basking in the glory of Edge making history of being the first rock star to be given the honor of performing in the Sistine Chapel, let's not forget the occasion was a conference on regenerative medicine. Apparently, Edge has been on the board of the Angiogenesis Foundation since his daughter was diagnosed with leukemia (love the "Ordinary World" typo).

In recent news, we've had Bono walking among refugees in Jordan, Adam advocating for mental health issues via "Walk In My Shoes" and now Edge in the Vatican as a representative in a regenerative medicine conference. Not to say there should be a competition between band members, but I wonder what Larry has been doing aside from browsing the U2Start forums?

Being an anchor so everybody else can return eventually to being a rock band
  5. Larry is a super-secretive guy. I think he's involved in many Dublin-centered charities and organizations, but we will never see him as the front man of anything. Well, besides composing the hymn for Ireland in the World Cup of 1990...
  6. Fair enough. Larry rarely gives remarks and interviews, so it's hard to get into his head and figure out what he does during U2's downtime. It would be interesting to spend a day with him.

Edge's solo album? Wow, I have never heard about such a think even ever being considered. Even a mention of such a thing is a very nice surprise. To be honest, if he did a solo tour (which he once said he never would) it would please me even more than a U2 tour. Really.
  8. I don't remember what context it was, but he said he thought about it often, but he knows he would never finish it. - on the TIFF Q&A about FTSD Edge said "We never finish our albums we just release them" - so, he can do the same with his solo album right?
He doesn't need to tour alone. Just being U2's supporting act would be fine with me
  9. Yea, but IF he did a solo tour, he would tour small places. Wouldn't that be incredible? On top of the main fact that it would be an mamazing show of course. Just dreaming out loud really, but that event and that clip gives me a nice excuse
  10. He would love to tour small places then I think but - he also knows, to please all fans he should play big arenas.

But yeah, we can dream out loud. Who knows, there will be a past-U2 time and I cannot imagine Edge will stop doing that music thing ever.
