1. With the PJ tour kicking much ass and the recent "full album" shows they've been playing, it got me thinking...

Suppose Pearl Jam decided that this fall, to celebrate their 25th anniversary properly, they announced that they would be playing residencies (taking a page out of the U2 playbook), 10 shows in each of three cities -- LA, New York, and Chicago. Each show would see the band playing one of their albums in full:

    Night 1 -- Ten
    Night 2 -- Vs.
    Night 3 -- Vitalogy
    Night 4 -- No Code
    Night 5 -- Yield
    Night 6 -- Binaural
    Night 7 -- Riot Act
Night 8 -- Pearl Jam ("Avocado")
    Night 9 -- Backspacer
    Night 10 -- Lightning Bolt

They'd play the album in full, and then assorted hits, covers, and rareties, or even throw in the b-sides from said album.

Which shows would you go see?

For me, No Code and Yield top the list, followed by Riot Act.
  2. Easy for me: Ten so I can finally get me some Release (and Jeremy for the first time since 1998).

God dammit why couldn't they just play Jeremy instead of Black or Better Man last Thursday????!!!

Same here. And I saw it already. Plus it has the best b sides.
  4. If I was attending one only show, Ten by far. If I was given a second show I would doubt between VS, Vitalogy and Yield.

    All 10 in NY

  6. After doing some setlist hunting I think this is the full list, we both were forgetting No Code in Moline '14:

    1992-03-13 - Munich (full Ten)
    2006-09-19 - Turin (full PJ)
2014-10-17 - Moline (full No Code)
    2014-10-20 - Milwaukee (full Yield)
    2016-04-16 - Greenville (full VS)
    2016-04-29 - Philadelphia (full Ten)
    2016-05-11 - Toronto (full Binaural)

Am I forgetting/missing any other full album show? (Even if it's not a full album in the sense of all songs played in the same order as they were on their albums).
  7. There are quite a few 1992 shows where they played most of Ten...Milan comes to mind where only Oceans wasn't played.

A great show to get is Atlanta 1994. It has 10 of 11 Ten songs (no Oceans again) and 11 of 12 Vs songs (no Leash, unfortunately). It is also of very high sound quality.
  8. Thanks for the heads up reg. Atlanta '94 Matt. 95% full Ten and VS - something definitely unique. Gonna hunt for it now
  9. Absolutely in NYC......

10 , Vs and No Code are a must for live performances.......followed by Vitalogy and Yield for me...
  10. Look for the JWB remaster version. There's a whole bunch of others (Melbourne 95, Berlin 96, Seattle 98, etc) you'll find along with it.
  11. That Atl '94 show is legendary , its pure greatness.........plus it was right after Cobain killed himself , so there is some extra intensity/drama added..
