1. Holy crap. Apparently they're soundchecking One I Love???

I Ran Away might have a chance on this leg, I hope?? Theres been a big project over on Coldplaying to try and get them to play it. I signed it.

  2. Embedding twitter doesn't seem to work at the moment. Here's a link to the video

  3. Not long now. Now that the tour is in Europe, I can actually follow the shows properly.
  4. Well, that was underwhelming. Chris was struggling tonight. His voice wasn't the best. Hope it improves (obviously). Still have Heroes in the set. Although I like it, I would've thought that they would've dropped it by now, replace it with Politik.

    1. A Head Full Of Dreams

    7. Everglow
    8. Magic
    9. Army Of One
    10. Clocks
    11. Midnight
    12. Charlie Brown
    13. Hymn For The Weekend
    14. Fix You (Midnight intro)

    19. Amazing Day
    20. A Sky Full Of Stars
    21. Up&Up

Edit: They played Ink on the C stage as well. Was a bit sketchy with the periscopes last night.
  5. Looking forward to see them next week. But just heard this Up and Up on the radio for the first time -- gosh boring. Hoping for Oldplay set list.
  6. Jonny is playing the riff of

    Perhaps they'll play it tonight...
  7. Watching them live on TV at BBC Radio 1s Big Weekend

  8. Raspberry Beret! Perhaps it'll replace Heroes.
  9. I'm starting to accept A Head Full of Dreams now. I still say it's their weakest, but it's slowly moving on from a single listen. The better tracks for me are Hymn for the Weekend, Adventure of a Lifetime, and Fun. They're playing in Manchester this weekend, and while I can only make the Sunday show but I'm not sure if it'll be worth it. £71.50 for a ticket is quite steep.

£71 for a decent concert ticket is acceptable.

    £71 for a 95 minutes show isn't.

completely agreed (except your fave tracks - I'd go Everglow, X Marks the Spot and Birds!).

still think it's their worst by a hefty margin and if they stick to this new lightweight chart-hungry pop sound next time round i'll probably have to re-think my hardcore fandom, but i don't outright hate it anymore. it's kinda 'meh' as opposed to 'oh my god boys what the hell did you do?'.

i'll be there on Sunday patiently sitting through Hymn For The Weekend (which sound even more awkward and flat live, from what i've seen) and the other new tunes waiting for doses of Oldplay to remind me why i love 'em.
