1. Ohhh shit, I remember now. He's drinking in the gutter with Bob.

Good to see you back, Matt! Glad to read that all is well.

    Same. Shit. Different. Day. Alive!

I've been gone for so long! In that time, I've been putting in many many hours at work, being promoted twice actually and assisting several of our booking agents here at the talent agency. One of the agents I work for specifically focuses on the Chicago-area, so my connections here in my hometown have grown exponentially. With that comes more shows, etc., etc.

Also got a girlfriend and she's like, real great. More on that later / as I continue to hang around here, I guess.

But what I got SUPER excited about, and knew I needed to tell you guys right away, was that I have an audition tomorrow evening to be the new guitar player for the midwest's biggest U2 tribute act! They're called WithoutU2, and I've watched some live videos of them online and though I think there are things that could be improved (being the perfectionist I am), they look like they have a lot of fun and I would be honored to be touring around the midwest USA a few dates out of the summer playing full U2 sets! The setlist for the audition is:

    The Fly (U22 Version)
    Vertigo (Rose Bowl)
    Stuck in a Moment (Slane)
Where the Streets Have No Name (Slane)
    Mysterious Ways (Vertigo Chicago)

I'm pretty pumped! A little nervous, especially because I haven't fine-tuned my pedalboard in ages, but hopefully they'll get the gist that I'm totally capable of playing the tunes and will be working on the sounds full-time if I am accepted.

I've done a little looking around and it looks like most of the usual suspects are still here How's this place holding up without me?!

    -MG

    Good luck, Matt!

When you get the gig, check out 37 Main in Johns Creek, GA (just north of Atlanta) They are the premiere spot in GA for touring tribute bands... Would be great to see you there!

  8. Hey Sergio, you know what I stumbled upon on my PC the other day? That video for our forgotten petition about the New Years Eve DVD
  9. Oh fuck! That's been like, what, 5 years ago already? I think it was for the 23th anniversary of the Point Depot shows, wasn't it? Damn, we should have made that petition. I still have that U2Tour.de email explaining to me how they got the band to release Slane with their signature petition and all.
  10. You asked, I answered

I'm still on my good old job from home (6 hours), and complementing it with a more standard job at an office (8 more hours plus going back and forth from home)... Pretty tiring but bills don't pay themselves

    How about yourself?
