  2. Mostly. But there are many different stages of "completion" for U2. They could have completed all the songwriting, or might be giving the final touches to the basic structure of the songs [this is my choice], or might be finishing the proper final recordings, or might be completing all the producing and mixing.

    I do not think they've gone past stage 2. Stage 3 would be good since there would be just mixing left, but we already know mixing and producing is the stage where U2 take up the most time (and fuck it up more usually). So I'm definitely cautious about this.

    True. But I also take comfort in the fact that they were talking about this album at the same time as they were talking about SoI before it came out, meaning that there's a good chance the songs have been gestating for a long time now and they just needed to put the final touches on them.

    Definitely think we'll be hearing the album this Fall, or late Summer. Tour starting again this year though? Doubtful.

    +1. If the album really comes out in 2016, it will be 3 years sooner than what we've been recently used to - so what a treat

    Especially if the album is good!

    Also, they're recording in Rubin's studio...All My Life was a song recorded during the Rubin sessions...

    All My Life confirmed song on Songs of Experience.

    Remember "Songs of Ascent" they were talking about around the same time as NLOTH?
