  2. That's one serious pout there the Edge.

  3. Just was watching this video
again for the first time in ages. So great.

I was actually thinking of Discotheque as I've been watching Republican National Convention coverage here in the U.S. this week: "you take what you can get cause it's all that you can find. You know there's something more, but tonight, tonight, tonight...Boom cha!"
  4. I listened to War straight through today, probably the first time in over a year I've let it play without skipping around.

Red Light has been really growing on me for a while, but it was today that The Refugee - always my least favourite on War - really just pounced on me and held on. They're both songs nobody seems to talk about much, so I'd be curious to know what others think about them...

(Also, I think The Refugee really should make its live debut when the tour resumes, it fits in with the major political theme and it'd be a welcome replacement for bloody Elevation all the damn time )
  5. Yeah, The Refugee sounds like the perfect replacement for Elevation, most of the audience will know it and dance/sing along to it

    I knoooowwwww

I'm just reallllly over Elevation and there are so many songs from War that would fit in the i+e set, Surrender and The Refugee fitting a lot of the themes of the shows...

The Coconuts intro on "Red Light" is great. This has always been one of my faves on the record, and it kind of loosens the mood a little before kicking into perhaps my fave... Surrender. But then again, there's is no let down song on War to me...

Agreed about The Refugee fitting thematically. If they could pull off a Zooropa snippet going into Streets that underscored the plight of refugees, surely they could do something similar with a song itself called "The Refugee"? Maybe too obvious, but I'd never thought about the song fitting until you mentioned it. Nice!

Yep, this one could blow the roof off.
