  6. Can i ask a question? Does anybody know how it works. I subscribed on februari 6 this year. I signed up for
    the Northside package. Never saw anything. But i heard that the date was closed on februari 1. Am i getting something else? I got the posters. That's cool. But i just wondered about it.
  7. Ok, same old lament here...can't they come up with a choice of a dvd or Blu Ray of a unreleased not overproduced for video show? Make the club fantastic. Ok, that's all I got today. I know, pretty boring post.

  9. I did not renew to avoid being sent those litographs. I loved the "Another Time Another Place" vinyl as well as the 360 Book and CD - those were great gifts. With no concert dates coming and not really much interesting content for members in the members sections I don't see the point of a membership - unless there's a really great gift included, which posters or lithographs are definetely not.

    Additionally, I do think that U2.com is handling all this very badly. It always takes them months to send out the stuff, which is frustrating for a lot of paying customers.

    But they not the only ones. The Rolling Stones once offered a gift included a gift that was included in the membership that was never sent to the fanclub members. Now there is no fanclub anymore, at least not one that you have to pay for. Paul McCartney's fanclub is now free, too.
  10. There IS a tour coming up, I guess around December we can buy tickets again. Keeping your membership can set you up in the first group for pre-sale codes (which I think will be back with an Open Air tour).
    You also save 10$ a year when keeping it. Don't want the gift? sell it, pays you back your fee and you don't need to keep the gift. There are surely fans somewhere who love these posters but cannot become a member because they don't have a creditcard.

    but I guess the bigger half of fans agrees (including me) that this gift is a bad joke.

    Bryan Adams releases a live DVD that is not for free sale almost each year. (which is easy for him, as he tours every year)
  12. So I got two emails from U2.com this morning. The first was an apology saying that they would have more information within two weeks (I sent them a message yesterday about receiving the wrong gift), and the second was a shipping confirmation for the serigraphs. So long as they don't ask for the vinyl back this is an arrangement I can live with.
