  4. He deserves a penalty for yesterday. He just went too far, simple as that. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Max. I’ve been following him ever since his karting days. The aggressiveness, the sharp eye for overtaking etc. It’s all amazing with Max. Yesterday he just reached the limit, at least to me he did. I do quite a lot of sim-racing myself (I know, not the real deal but it’s about the principle) and I know from multiple starts at Spa that La Source is NOT the corner to go for on the inside other than for first place. You just know that there are other cars going around and they also need to get back to the racing line. And no, I do not imply to know more about racing than Max. It’s just something I have seen a lot during simulator races. If you go for it at the start, and it’s not for first place, it’s a very risky manoeuvre. So that’s Max’s risk he took, and it didn’t work out. No problem, we love that aggressiveness and the mentality to go for a gap if it exists (like Senna said: if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver)

    From this point on Max had to work his way back with a, according to Horner, heavy damaged car. I get the frustration, I understand he doesn’t want the Ferrari’s to have it for free. And he’s right, you should never give away positions. But the way he defended Kimi on Kemmel and the Force India (not sure who) at Les Combes is just wrong. He should learn to accept some errors he’s made himself too. Max is so talented, it’s so incredible to see his capabilities in an F1 car. But sometimes he just needs to cool down and reflect upon himself. If he’s able to do so, he’ll be a driver to watch out for nearly every driver record in Formula 1.
  5. Max is VERY talented! A future champion for sure! But he can´t manouvre like that! He is bringing a new school aggressive defensive driving to the F1. I don´t like that. If you are overtaken: accept it!
  7. I disagree with this view, last year he was the driver with the most license punishment points of the whole field. So the FIA surely punishes him to. It is up to the stewards to punish him in the race and then the FIA can take further action. If the stewards say it is ok, the FIA can't do much. Amongst the stewards are ex rce and F1 drivers which differ each race. There is a potential bias, I admit ;-)
  8. He said it right after the race, he was disappointed and full of adrinaline. He also said it after saying "the ferrarri's messed up my race in the first corner" and therefore he wasn't to keen to let them pass.
  9. Good hard racing is fine but pushing drivers off the track and blocking them is not.

    If they really did mess up his whole race, he should've had enough time to think about what to say
    And even adrenaline doesn't make up for this. Pushing someone off the road at that speed is completely lunatic and potentially killing.
    If a cyclist would say "I prefer pushing him off this bike over letting him take me in a sprint" or a footballer "I'd prefer breaking his leg over him scoring a goal" he'd be punished severely too.
  11. I haven't liked him since he got into Formula One. For a start, he arrived in the sport way too early – had he gotten more experience in the lower ranks (even GP2), I think he would be a less dangerous driver. He's a hazard. He's immature which fuels his arrogance.

    The problem is that he's slowly destroying his own reputation. He is a great driver with the potential to be a world champion one day, but he needs to stop blaming other drivers for his own mistakes and then subsequently destroying other driver's races.

    Well, in that first corner Vettel pushed Raikonnen into him, they made the first mistake
