  1. I don't even know if I am a member anymore, which is sad. When I login it doesn't tell me much. I had to buy the Another Time Vinyl on ebay, since it was not available to me when I wanted it...but now it seems to be available...lol. Pictures of men only go so far with me, and I've got piles of U2 dvd, and some old lithographs, etc. If they release another meaningful audio or God forbid, a dvd release of a Lovetown show(ha ha ha)...I will renew, and be glad to report how the dvd smells.

  5. got mail today that mine are stuck at customs for whatever reason I hope I don't have to pay too much...

    edit: anyone who has received their posters... is there a bill in the package regarding your u2.com subscription?

    as it is mailed out with a custom's declaration saying GIFT they are not allowed to add an invoice. GIFT mailings do not have an invoice, invoice = commercial = pay customs.
    Print out your email you got on order or print the overview from the shop when you wanna renew, where they list what you pay for (online access, ticket presales and the additonal gift).
    That way you at least can prove 40$ of worth and you will pay 19% of 40$ which is about 6,xx€ (this is for Germany, other countries might have different taxes)

    If they want you to pay, you will get another letter, saying you have to pick it up at the local customs office, which is usually not around the corner....

    I already got a letter saying I need to come around within 14 days (luckily, they're located about half an hour away from where I live)... I don't think I got the order email anymore I'll have to take a photo of the website, like you said (thank you for the tip btw!).
  9. Try to convince them, that you pay for the exclusive online content and presale and not for the item they send, because you beforehand never know what they send, because it is a GIFT and therefore, they cannot name a value.
    Worth a try, maybe you're lucky having a nice officer there. Some had success with that.
