Relevant was Lakeland 92.... Cutting edge even. 55s are the new 35s

  2. They just never had the drive to rehearse to the point of learning harder songs. They probably want to play Acrobat one day, but if it was tough for them then, at their age now, forget it. As a huge Pop fanatic, I loved the Las Vegas show comedy of errors. But U2 didn't get the joke that was happening, they could have ran with it, but it was their right to react how they did Sad that playing a simple acoustic arrangement has been their go to for any song that is tough. But that is who U2 is, and I love them warts and all. Elton John is almost 70, and will play complicated parts men half his age can't...but that is who Elton is. I love them all and who knows, maybe they will snippet some of the new songs?
  3. Come to think of it, maybe they will have Kygo with them tonight...

You keep bringing up Lakeland... Were you there, too?
  4. SO EXCITED. I so hope we hear a new song, but I know that my hopes when it comes to U2 setlists are usually nothing more than that.

You hit the nail on the head.

It reminds me of the rehearsals during 360 when they were trying to figure out Trying To Throw Your Arms. If you listen, the problem is that they keep starting off time with the loop they're playing to, but that's like the only thing wrong with what they're doing. Instead of figuring that out they just say "fuck it, never mind" and forget about it. It's really a shame.

That being said, if they're still rehearsing today there's a decent chance they'll have a go with at least one of them. Otherwise, what's the point? They had a go at The Miracle at the Apple event and it sounded "unfinished", maybe we'll get a similar thing here.

or maybe an old song, never played live...
  7. Remember when they rehearsed it in Barcelona and it sounded perfect, but they didn't play it because they thought it would bring the set down too much?

"They're all exhausted and will go straight to bed tonight and sleep all day tomorrow and come back here tomorrow night.
No sound check tomorrow, this was it tonight."
