One of my all-time favorite snippets on Zoo TV.
On a somewhat related note, with the festival being in Las Vegas, why has U2 never done a song about this city? They've got Miami and New York (and others) but no Vegas? Maybe a song about the city would be too "Pop" at this point, but I think there's definitely enough subject matter involved with this city for Bono to make a go of it.

The ZooTV campaign basically WAS Vegas

Fair enough that you classified this as your opinion by saying "to me"...but I'm curious as to what counts as a "boring ballad" to you? If you mean a recent song like Every Breaking Wave, acoustic style, I'm not sure it's fair to suggest that this is just "his ego to be fed" when Bono has described the song as being about how hard it is to give yourself fully to another person, like he did with Ali.

Cole porter with a cognac swivel in his hand, comes to my mind. If you like it, why not? It's just not my cup of Guinness.
