  1. All in for "California (There Is No End To Love)" - great t-shirt btw, one of the best i+e shirts if you ask me!

BTW, am I the only one thinking that the whole Trump thing in the U2 show is just a cheap effect? Seriously, would there be one single person in the audience considering a T-vote? Is this the way to reach the so-called Millennials? Circus U2 shouldn't need such a

When Bono is on a crusade, he cannot be stopped...
  3. I´m glad U2 takes a strong stake; the rest of the world has 2 options, a) to condemn them to have a political opinion or b) to support them and open the eyes of the "Trumpers" we all have/had in our nations recently...U2 have always been political, so why should they change now? Otherwise, we wouldn´t have had master-pieces like Pride, Bullet, Miss Sarajevo, Silver & Gold, Please, Sunday Bloody, The Troubles, Seconds, etc. etc.

    Boom.

  5. What's the connect between U2 & sales force ?
  6. Is it to do with Elevation Partners ?
  7. They sponsored the IE tour, I believe.

    Before that I don't know.

Hi BigGirl! Long time no see, how are you doing back there in the Netherlands?

And I'm afraid you'd be surprised how many Trump supporters there are...
  9. That makes sense then a reciprocal arrangement . Getting a tour like ie. to stack in small venues needs some sponsorship I guess

    Agreed.

Also, it's not like they take a side between 2 reasonable candidates, so I don't the hate. "Oh they're Irish, shut up about American politics!". Well, the President of the USA matters to the whole world, cause, you know, wars, international politics, immigrants, trade... So yes, it concerns them too.

Agreed to an extent here. U2 are at their political best when they put their feeling into the music, just like the songs you mention. What we have with these Trump visuals and re-worked versions of politically irrelevant songs like Desire is a little cheap to me and doesn't carry the same clout as a Please or a Bullet.
