    Comments: During their visit to Japan in November 1983, U2 appear on an unidentified Japanese TV show. Edge's guitar breaks down and he plays most of New Year's Day's guitar parts on piano. At the end of what was meant to be the guitar solo, Bono's timing is thrown off and the song's conclusion is improvised.

    At least they didn't ask them to be part of a crazy japanese game show.

    It was still a fantastic performance. Kudos to Bono for improvising the sh** out of the song.
