    I agree
  2. Have to agree on some of the negativity around the trump thing. Bono's rants should be around the corruption around politics in general and the circus that the elections get turned into. Whoever gets voted in will actually do little to influence the greater powers that be behind the scenes and put an end to the path of destruction we're heading down. Our media whether be in the uk around the rest of Europe the u.s. or just about anywhere else is biased and aimed towards causing tensions and creating problems, why do we never see footage of peaceful Muslims who protest against Isis or whatever name they are using nowadays to describe these terror groups. These extremists should not be associated with religion at all. Theres many other issues I could go into but basically I like Bono/u2 being political etc but really wish they'd see and point out the bigger picture.
  3. Bono (a rich man) taking the piss out of another rich man just doesn't hit home at all. I know his rant was a little more wide raging but he started with the money piece and that kinda killed it for me.

You get it I really love U2 been in to them since 1980 but they and particulary Bono loves the money. I sometimes wonder if Adam and Larry are comfortable up there wit hBono doing all his political stuff........Keep it in the music for it s a worls better than anyone else's
  5. He's not "siding with the Clintons," or trying to sway voters. He's saying the truth and what needs to be said. Trump is literally the utmost frightening thing that can come out of politics. Has Hillary Clinton gone through bumps in the road ethically and honestly? Sure. However, if you've been in an industry for 40 years, there is a 0% chance that you retire with a squeaky clean slate. If you are voting for Trump, you're racist, islamaphobic, sexist, homophobic, or all the above. I would just have so much more respect for people if they'd just admit that they were one of those things instead of trying to convince me that Donald Trump is anywhere near qualified to be the President of the United States.

Literally, just do research. I know it's so much easier to form an opinion through clickbait Facebook articles, but a lot of these articles are opinion pieces, and opinions isn't journalism. Just. Research. The more you dig on Clinton, the more you realize that all of her dirt really isn't that bad. Has she lied? Yes. And that's annoying and I can see why people think she's offputting. But when you do the legitimate research on Trump.... you feel like you're reading stuff that's put out by the Onion. He's a joke, and U2 are just a few of the many, many celebrities trying to convey this to the People of the US.

    Rant. Over. I'm sorry.
  6. Guys, let's not turn this into a(nother) politics thre... oh, forget about it. You're damn right.

Isn't this the exact same as what Trump is doing?

    Exactly. Really quick:
    1. The fact that Bono is rich doesn't disqualify him to denounce Trump. On the contrary, some of the best attacks on Trump came from millionaires like Mark Cuban and Michael Bloomberg, pointing to the fact that Trump is a rich man that stifles his own employees, has no regard whatsoever to the people that serve him and his charity work is a joke, using the money to buy portraits of him or paying his lawsuits.

    2. The US election concerns everyone and the band feels it's their moral obligation to speak their mind as this affects everyone. This is very different from Trump asking Russia to hack the US.

    3. Having said that, I think the Bullet interchange could have been more effective. There are other Trump quotes way worse than bragging he's rich. U2 could have used Trump saying horrible things to women, mocking people with disabilities, veterans, etc.

Im from England and habe no real intrest in Polictics or the uS elections I have lived and worked in the US and visited many times with my job.. Trumop cant be so much of joke he ap[pears to be a very succesful buisness man self made where Mrs Clinton was the wife of the president although she aslo appears to have done a lot in her time. U2 if they want to comment on plitics the yshould stick to the Republic of Ireland in the come from. Al lthe otehr celebraties commenting have a right too as the yare from America..

Sorry but she is a complete tool as well and you are as deceived as anyone for Trump. Her history is utterly bad if you read what actually happened versus what the media tries to spin it for her. The fact that you are for Clinton should disqualify you from giving.a reasonable opinion as someone who is for Trump should be disqualified. If you believe a politician then what does that say. Just nothing and I feel bad for Bono because he is now the rich white guy that hangs with politicians
