1. If the right setlist is the one from the picture taken the day, it would be:
11 o clock, follow, seconds, electric co, october, new years day, pride, southern man, party girl, gloria, 40
  2. That'll be interesting as the current setlist we know is incomplete. This seems at least a better go at it!
  3. i took this picture and made it readable with photoshop...
  4. Gloria and Southern Man are the only ones that are dubious (Gloria makes all the sense since it was quite usually played before 40 in 1984-1985, but Southern Man not so much), the rest of it is pretty much spot on. Bien joué, discohype!

Now it's time to contact U2gigs, AtU2, U2setlists, etc and tell them to update it on their databases.
  5. Southern Man looks accurate. At worst it should be listed with an asterisk. The rest looks accurate. Good find.

They also played Southern Man in the UF tour.
  7. yep 1985-02-01 - Mannheim, Germany - Musensaal
and Southern man could be an "irish joke", due to the position of Cork...
  8. I know the song and when it was performed It's just that the Cork festival was a surprise appearance. Performing a cover song with which you're not very familiar (played only a handful of times up to 1985) when doing a 10 song set at a festival doesn't sound too logical. Knocking On Heaven's Door (which is already among the "performed" songs according to all setlists) sounds more plausible.

    Good catch!
  10. what i dont understand, is why Sunday is not on setlist, but they played it...
  11. Because they didn't follow the planned setlist since it was a surprise (and almost improptu) performance, and that's probably why they might have played Knocking instead of Southern Man
