1. Yes. And I'm sure the Edge has already got a realtor to put his property in California he has been battling for up sale to pack up and move out.

Be real. Bono will press on as always and reach out to Trump the same way he did with Bush. He will lobby for the cause like he always does and will press on.
  2. Of course not, but I hope some people with power and with brains will speak out and will do everything they can to make it 4 terrible years for Trump and everyone who voted for them. For example, he is a business man, do you really think he will bring back jobs from Asia? People seem to believe that kind of shit, it's just so stupid.

By the way, I think Clinton is a terrible candidate too, but at least she has some dignity.

Another thing that would frighten me if I was a well-thinking, progressive American: The whole system is now Republican. Let's go stop LGBT's and women rights, let's stop abortion, let's give everyone a gun. In other words go 40 years back in time with those religious idiots.

Trump only sees my race and thinks about drugs, and a wall. Issues like climate change, women's rights, lgbt rights, separation of church and state just thrown out the window. I'm devastated.

For the record, as a NY senator, Hillary voted for a wall along the US/Mexico border and even made comments just like trump about Mexico sending the US nothing but criminals, so they really weren't that different...

See.. as an American, I hope just the opposite. Why would I wish for people to make it terrible for half of my country? Doesnt that defeat the whole purpose and the whole message? That hope and ill will sounds like the same rhetoric, so with that, how are you so different from him?

My hope is that this brings change to the system. And I can only hope that what he said in his speech last night is more indicative of how his administration will run.

I can only put my hope and prayers (as I've done with every President we've elected) that he'll be more the guy from last night. Maybe he will go in and shake up the old GOP platform. We can only hope. But to wish ill of my fellow Americans and our commander in chief? Thats just counter productive...
  5. I AM ASHAMED TO BE AMERICAN TODAY! WHAT KIND OF WORLD IS THIS WHEN SOMEONE SHOWS THEIR TRUE DESPICABLE CHARACTER AND STILL IS ELECTED TO BE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD?
this emperor with no clothes will be the worst thing that has ever happened to the WORLD!
    I AM MOURNING.
  6. Well, the President isn't the whole US government - no matter how Donald Trump may have blustered on like that on the campaign trail. There are still other politicians and other branches of government. As ashamed and concerned I am about that deranged asshole being the president, it's not as though everything that happens in the US now will be 100% Trump Approved - the president isn't our only politician, after all, and we decide who the other ones are, not him.

That said - I'm really worried about the next four years. This wasn't the world I was expecting or hoping to be leaving college in very soon... looking for a job and graduate work in an academic field where there isn't very much work to be had, living on my own in the real world for the first time. I can't see things getting any easier or better now.

  7. The sun shall still rise...
  8. And there you go with the absurd Election process:

    Trump 59,044,562 votes - 47.5%
    Clinton 59,182,281 votes - 47.6%
  9. Yes. Which is the way its been forever and one the biggest flaws in the system. But this is nothing new.

  10. Hopefully Kanye is taking all the successes of his workout plan and applying them to his Presidential plan AND is going to drop an album today called Watch The White House. #Kanye2020
  11. Too set in our ways to try to rearrange, too right to be wrong in this rebel song...
  12. I am ready for the change and I hope there is a positive one made.
