  1. It gives us great pleasure to let you know that the final episode (Rattle and Hum) of Season 1 of RevU2 is now available via Soundcloud and iTunes. We’ve come to end of something here but we’ll be back with Season 2 soon. We’ve really appreciated seeing on the stats that U2start members have been listening to (or at very least have been directed to) the podcast via the forum – it’s a lovely community here

    -RevU2 follows the band’s lead and invites a special guest, recording their longest podcast yet.
    -The Edge slides down a small hill.

    It would be great to get further feedback for the next season and future episodes.   3. Hello all, just a quick message to say that Season 2 of RevU2 is currently being cooked up and it shouldn’t be too long until Episode 7: Achtung Baby arrives.

    Season 2 of RevU2 has officially begun. For the next six weeks we’ll be reviewU2ing our way through the 90s and 00s, discussing some of the band’s most (and least) acclaimed albums.

    This week:
    - U2 take a neon axe to their monochrome past.
    - The Dublin boys go on a make or break trip to Berlin.
    - And Tyler and Jonny lose themselves in the gritty city of Achtung Baby (then discuss the hangover).

  6. BOOM-CHA! Season 2 continues and we have finally got to Tyler’s favourite album: Pop

    This week:
    - U2 vies with young talent and a fresh music scene.
    - The band smuggle tough theological theories inside a postmodern pop package.
    - Jonny and Tyler ask the listeners for help with a long, long disputed lyric.

    The above is the general show info but the last point concerning the disputed lyric has been a long-running debate between us and we’d especially like to hear other fans theories about what Edge is singing in the Mofo verses (discussion of this starts at 39:25).

    - U2 shed the irony and return with at least half a dozen classic songs.
    - The album acquires deeper resonance as a violent decade begins to unfold.
    - And there are mistaken lyrics a plenty as hearing aids are contemplated.

    In which:
    - U2 decamp to Fez and attempt to soak up some Moroccan vibes.
    - Producers come and go as fans wait with baited breath (or should that be Breathe?).
    - And things get meta as there are audio issues for both U2 and RevU2.

    This has been a really interesting one to discuss and we were often at loggerheads about just how magnificent this album is (or isn't), so feel free to share, comment and join in with our conversation.

    We've just released our Christmas Special, a shorter episode in which we discuss the band's most festive moments (you can probably guess them all) and why we like and dislike Christmas songs in general.
