1. Not sure where thia came from or how accurate, but it would explain a lot, if true. Sad.
  2. I still can't believe the person with the most votes doesn't win the election in the US.
  3. Thats part of the "rigged system" that everyone dismisses as whining. It's not the first time it's happened and certainly wont be the last.

Ain't that America for you and me?

Lets hope all the speeches today hold substance and we really do try to move ahead instead of repeat history. I really hope they all meant what they said. Trump finally sounded presidential, and Clinton showed poise and class, as did Obama, as difficult it must have been for both of them. If they are serious, I applaud them.
  4. The Trump-apocalypse is here: Trump appoints a climate skeptic for the Environmental Protection Agency. This is what he said about climate change
There has been a little bit of warming ... but it’s been very modest and well within the range for natural variability, and whether it’s caused by human beings or not, it’s nothing to worry about.

The Paris global warming accords would be annulled with this guy.
  5. Debacle
  6. I'm sorry you guys seem to be emotionally impacted by all of this.
Every Trump supporter I speak to now, just wants the same thing as Obama.

    It's time to make peace.
  7. Any word on a U2/U2 family reaction?
  8. It's a rare occurrence, but even the framers of the Constitution specifically devised the Electoral College to make a more "informed decision," if you will. With such terrible choices, I'm not surprised that Trump won against the popular vote considering all of the dirt put (and rightfully so ) on Hillary.
  9. In Mexico 10 years ago we had a similar situation, where the president was elected only by a 0.5% victory margin, about 100, 000 votes.
I think for situations like these a second-round should be appropriate like in other countries, without any third-party candidates.
