And not only we call it democracy, but we force it to the rest of the World, wars being the usual messengers of the good news. There are no words to describe the absurdity and the obscenity really. (I am not from US, but I say "we," since Europe plays happily along)
It's more of a democratic republic because it's not direct.

Here's the proof that Trump doesn't need to pass a bill making racism and discrimination legal. His own rhetoric, and his silent approval of KKK leaders, white supremacists, anti-Semitic, anti-immigration imbeciles (he wants to put Joe Arpaio in Homeland Security, ffs!) has brought an entire wave of racism into the XXI century. This is only day 2.
While those pictures are discouraging, they are not being committed by Trump himself but rather in his name, and it's likely he'd be put off by them if he saw them. Also, I heard about the KKK incident, but I also heard he decided allowing them to fund him was a bad idea.

If he won the election, America must be ready for change. I think that many Trump supporters were afraid to say they were just for the fear as being grouped as a racist, sexist, etc. when a lot of that is blown out of proportion, explaining the surprising amount of last-minute support he got during the election.
  3. Also doesn't Trump take office sometime in January right?

He inspired people who make those comments, he showed its alright to say the most horrible things. So he didn't do it himself but he is kinda responsible for it. Although there always will be people like that, mainly because they are too stupid themselves to make something of their lives and just blame a different looking/acting person (talking about racist here, not all Trump supporters).

Obama had the Black Panthers endorse him. Does that mean he supports them. Come on already.

I've started a "Doomdsay Journal' recording all the doom and gloom that is about to come. In a year from now, I'll share the results and we can revisit all of this.

I just watched the right-wing fear monger for 8 years. Are we going to see the same from the virtuous left now? Maybe... It seems to work.
  7. WTF is your problem? Why do you keep insulting me? Listen, I'm not going to tolerate your crap anymore. If you cannot respect the people here, then look for another forum.

That is what is wrong with us as a country. And why people stereotype anyone who supported Trump.
  9. Well, I was not insulting anyone, nor saying that all Trump supporters are racists. Those incidents are real, you may not see them, but as a teacher in Indiana, I have heard reports in my university about white people harassing Muslims constantly, screaming stupid things, etc.
I think we are having a good discussion with different viewpoints, but when someone comes here just to insult, then they're out.

    I was defending you, ding-dong.
  11. LOL, I figured that, just wanted to emphasize that I don't think all Trump supporters are like that.
I still fear for the worse. There's a rumor Sarah Palin will be in the cabinet.
