1. It's fake.

    They've misspelled band names.
  2. OK cheers for that didn't look past the first band, would have been impossible to mis-spell them HEHEHE
  3. U2 have been rumoured to play it, they'll announce the full line up in January. That particular line up poster is fake.

No, sorry, don't listen to me! I didn't mean to remind you - don't postpone the album, don't remake it, don't you dare to... just release Songs Of Experience now!

I've been meaning to respond to this post for a few days now and I was reminded to do so after the Instagram post today.

I think it would be pretty cool to be releasing a new album 30 years after something so monumental. I do agree that it would be compared though.

That said, I'd say that the whirlwind that came with releasing The Joshua Tree was U2's end of "innocence" and definitely began a time of experience. I wonder did they decide to wait for SOE because of this anniversary?

Can't agree more about beginning a time of experience. I would love them to bring out something really special in 2017. I think at u2 levels it's such fine lines, i hate that songs like crumbs from your table, mercy, when I look at the world even New York are ignored by the general public all great songs, even trip, and exit won't be well recognised of one of there best albums, so it's a tough job but a couple of strong singles would lead the way followed by some really deep and hopefully guitar heavy,(the emphasis being on the heavy) album tracks.

And also, they must be pretty confident that this will be a superb body of work. It's a bold move to release a new studio album whilst touring special shows for their most famous and well known album

Great post, this is my hope for the album, I did however like Crumbs on HTDAAB, one of the highlights for me on that record, very underrated.

I agree that they will need to choose the singles wisely, and although i've said it before maybe the experience songs will enable U2 to go back to a more guitar heavy approach. I want some more catchy riffs and beautiful layered guitars from Edge this time around.

Bono sounding lower in the mix would be the icing on the cake
  8. All My Life on the album please. It's a song about experience, so I'm holding out hope

Just listening through JT 20th Anniversary edition now, track 10 on disc 2 has a name I've never noticed before. Was it a sign all along?
