SOE, maybe, but I would think JT mini-tour would take them to major markets (NY, Boston, Chicago, LA & this would definitely make the most sense for festival shows, possibly Philadelphia, Atlanta or Miami... But beyond that, I can't see it.
Pity if U2 would again only do the big cities. Basically a repeat of two years ago.
  2. I take that for granted. Few cities and actually few shows I suspect. x1 in smaller cities with lesser demand, x2 in most of them, x3 max in a few like New York or London maybe

Going to make ticket sales difficult with just so few shows in a few cities.

But it's good to turn on the hype-machine again for U2.
  4. I would imagine for the Joshua Tree shows it would have to be, right? To be a mini-tour with only 2 months on each continent they can't go too many places...
  5. I'm putting a tenner on two nights at Croke. I'm sure Coldplay would have wanted more than one night but are only playing one. All their other European stops are two nights. Guns n Roses have gone to Slane. Who would have the clout to keep Coldplay to one night only? And who else would be able to keep an announcement to play Croke until relatively close to the proposed shows?

Well its the decision to do a mini-tour that is the problem here then

Yeah they can't skip Ireland and then Croke is the obvious choice with Coldplay's single nighter.

What does Coldplay have to do with this? Does Croke have a limit of concerts per year like Slane?
  9. Didn't know that. But I wonder if U2's mgmt has the power to stop any other band from booking any concerts they want
