  1. Was it posted here already that The Lumineers are also rumoured as a support act? Now it is

I wouldn't be too surprised if they would skip Bonnaroo in the end but let's see.

The rumouring will be over in 48 hours

If they play Bonnaroo, I could see them skipping Atlanta due to a contractual festival distance agreement, but if they skipped it would make absolutely no sense to bypass it between Houston and Miami. Look at a map! We're talking about the hime of Dr. King here!

Just sayin. We'll find out soon enough...

Yep that is true.. Let's see if there will be some logic to it!
  4. And to cast further fuel on the rumor fire, a friend of mine who has a source says the NY shows will be 3 nights at Madison Square Garden. Even more intrigue as this brings shows indoors...

Apart from all these dates and shows, if they would suddenly do indoor shows that would be the biggest surprise of all.

Oh man I gotta start saving. Now. If u2 and pj tour the same year, I'm done
  7. Interestingly enough, on the JT tour, they played 2 indoor shows in Atlanta just after stadiums in Miami and Tampa, so the original set transitions easily enough...
  8. Looks like Bonnaroo is confirmed. Leaked via Web adverts...

  10. I can see no problem in doing "Red Hill Mining Town" live.
They can change the key, they can use prerecorded backing vocals such as in Beautiful Day.

I'd love a simple stage set-up, just as in the old days, with maybe some (more) screens as in 1987 (they had some behind the mixing desk) and of course a better sound system.

Maybe they can use a simple stage like the one the Stones are touring with since 2013, simple shoe-box set-up, with a huge screen that covers all of the backdrop and some space left and right of the main stage to walk on and interact with the audience.
