I love it, but last time they played it (360) I really felt let down by it... he can't sing it as it is anymore, so they had to adapt it.

In that same note, I'm not sure if I should feel excited or scared for some of the adaptations they'll have to make for some JT songs: We know they'll have to rework RHMT, but whatever... we haven't heard it live, so I don't care if they rework it; but I'm scared for Exit, or even IGC or OTH... we'll see.
Things will just be put down in key, that's all.

Pride has been played a whole pitch lower than the album version since Popmart (as far as I know it's only been played in the same key as the album version on the conspiracy of hope tour (and maybe that random old grey whistle test JT-era show if I remember correctly)). Even on the Unforgettable Fire Tour, songs like Homecoming, Bad, and Pride were all down half a pitch compared to their album counter-parts. Same goes for most of their tunes and live versions actually.

    Point is, it's nothing new.

Yeah... but I don't mean that. I don't mind the change in key (hell, I don't notice it unless someone points it out to me).

I'm talking about changes like the ones made on TUF on the 360 tour (or the Mercy ones in the same tour), or that couple of Miracle Drug attempts in i+e. When they rework a song by changing the chorus to something different that what we're used to. I hated them in TUF and Mercy (actually liked it in MD, though).

Or then, the other rework they love to do, the acoustic EBW/SIAM treatment.

I'm hesitant about what they'll do to some of the songs... (RHMT, Exit...)

    5. Streets....

    15. Mothers...
    Encore 1:
    16. A Sort of Homecoming
    17. Unforgettable Fire
    18. Bad
    19. Pride
    Encore 2:
    20. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    21. New Year's Day
    22. '40'

Of course, fire in two deeper cuts or JT b-sides in there to make an even two dozen.
This looks fine to me yes, something like that. But the first 3 songs, they did already on the Innoc tour, incl Miracle of JR. Why not start with A Sort of Homecoming, that would be a big suprise. What a great a song that is. And I hope indeed they left Elevation, One, Untill the End... Vertigo etc. We know these songs already. I want surprises. Nobody mentioned "Drowning Man" they can play it acoustic. It's just a masterpiece. And following by "October" in the middle of the show. And what about "Like a Song" "Tomorrow acoustic" "MLK" "Brick/Day W Me" "Tick Tock" that would be amazing. I don' t think any b-sides, if you read Edge intervw. A little bit disap. Hopefully only songs from 1980-1987 but I doubt it. They will finish with "40" that's for sure. "Bad" is a musthave. Only a few surprises and I'm really satisfied. Can't hardly wait for tomorrow.

    I know what you're saying.

I think with the way they're presenting/advertising this tour though, they'll try to be as close as they can be to the album that people have come to love over the past 30 years.

  7. I'm just so damned excited to see how they play Red Hill Mining Town. Seeing that alone is almost going to be worth the ticket price for me. I love that Edge said it was almost the lead single from the album--it was initially my favorite song from the album, and it's still probably top 3 or 4 for me.
  8. I can stick with that. It' s one of my fav tracks too. 30 years ago it ssstarts it already. And how they will play One tree Hill. That's my fav with Streets. EXIT it gets me crazy all those beautiful songs.

But you went to EIGHT shows....I mean who does that really? I'd love to follow the entire tour every night but it wouldn't really upset me if it was the same set. There wouldn't be that many who would be doing something like that.

More than you think But a world top band can't structure their setlist for that minority, so they have to find some balance.

Yes..like me......I went to 10 JT shows in '87 and another 10 in '92 for the ZooTV extravaganza . But that was in my youth , there was much indulgence lol

Also this band has been known to not tour for many many years between tours...especially here in the States..there were 5 year breaks from'87-92 '92-'97 with no tours..so you just went to as many as possible . At least thats what I did .

My thing is if you can go....go....I went to 5 i&e shows and enjoyed all of them....
