My favourite JT B-side. So much better than Trip imo.

This is still my favorite. Didn't really have a home on the album though. I get that...

I love Silver and Gold as played in Rattle and Hum, and the 90s version of the Sweetest Thing (IMO the best Joshua Tree b-side that just seems completely odd to come out of that time period - and the 90s version improved on it in almost every way), but other than that I find a lot of the other material sort of...throw away?
There are a lot of the types of lyrics that Bono was trying NOT to write at the time (sketches, etc. - Luminous Times lyrics are just like..what?), a lot of the music is good, but also sort of plain and a little too simple. I can never love a song like Spanish Eyes because it just sounds like a song written in 5 minutes to me. It's an extremely simple riff, and it's just played over and over with some "okay" lyrics over-top (sorry, Sergio).
I hate to say it. The b-sides just in no way come close to anything on JT for me. I think Boy, Unforgettable Fire and Achtung Baby have better b-sides. The JT ones are just too "unfinished".
