  1. For the last couple of years I have been trying to find a photograph of my wife (then aged 16) on stage with Bono during the Joshua tree tour.

    The show was at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 13th June 1987; the day the Pogues and Lou Reed supported.

    I wasn't actually at that show myself so I have no idea if any other females were on stage that day.

    However, my wife remembers distinctly that Bono pinched her baseball cap and didn't return it. She would have had long hair and is stunningly beautiful (not biased honestly)

    If anyone has a photo of the two of them on stage could you please get in touch with me (macjoneslawyer@me.com)

    It's my wife's birthday on 25th June and I'm taking her to the Boston show that day - it would be great if I could give her a framed photo on her birthday.

    Please free free to share this point amongst in any U2 forum etc

    Bringing cameras to concerts wasn't that usual back in 1987, there are many many pre-2000 shows where there isn't a single visual document I'm afraid the 2nd London show might be one of those. There isn't a video bootleg either (if it existed we would be able to extract a screenshot). Sorry dude, best of luck with your search.

    I thankfully stand corrected then I hope you can find what our friend is looking for. And even if you don't it would be great if you could upload the photos to our database anyway! Thanks in advance

  8. I had the show on audio back in '87 and the sound was great (not the same show as available on Start). I have seen photos of the Wembley Stadium shows show on Flickr via Peter Funnell's page but not sure if the 13 June show and a photo of your wife is there.

    You could always ask try asking him on his FB page see if he took any of the second night > https://www.facebook.com/PeteStillPhotography/ - my gut feeling is its just the first night though, but you never know.

    Back in the day I bought a set of pics from him of the 1992 Earls Court gig and they are great

    There's 42 pages worth of U2 pics there and I saw one of Pete Stills Wembley pics in the results so there could be others from Wembley 87. I don't think you can purchase these for private / personal use however, and if you were to purchase one, I don't think they're cheap - depends on your intended usage.
