Yeah, Larry did some very heavy, SBS-type drumming at the end of ASOH at least once earlier, but this time segued pretty much into SBS. And it sounds quite a bit faster and more energetic than the stripped down version from i+e
I know for a fact that if I'm ever at a U2 show and they play New Year's Day, I will absolutely break down into a sobbing heap. I have no idea why, it's not as though I have any really deep, special connection to the song - I am just absolutely certain it will reduce me to tears if I see it live.
