1. I can't see Vertigo being dropped, and it shouldn't be. To a lot of people now, Vertigo is U2's best known song. Also, Vertigo rocks! I know if I went to a show with no SBS or Pride I wouldn't mind it, but I'd be rather cross if I didn't get Vertigo!
  2. perfect (but unrealistic as in: never gonna fuggin' happen) setlist to me:
    01. zooropa
    02. until the end of the world
    03. if God will send his angels
    04. gone

    06. magnificent
    07. raised by wolves
    08. the fly
    09. ebttrt
    10. i will follow

    12. discotheque

    14.streets
    15. spanish eyes
    16. still haven't found
    17. wowy
    18. bullet
    19. running to stand still (zootv version)
    20. red hill mining town
    21. in God's country
    22. trip though your wires
    23. one tree hill
    24. exit
    25. mothers of the disappeared

  3. Well opinions aside I hope they play Gloria and October when you go to see them I know October is your favourite album. It was a real treat to see they songs in Glasgow for the first time both would be welcome returns this time round as well. I'm really hoping that ASOH makes the setlist too, that and out Of Control as I haven't seen them live before and the little things that give you away also. Apart from that I think I've heard the rest of the non JT songs they're rehearsing which is fine but New Year's Day and ultraviolet would be the most welcome out of the ones I've already heard live that are being rehearsed.

Now... Gloria I'll take above all the aforementioned! And ASOH would be a perfect opener...
  5. Agreed on both, Gloria was even better than I imagined in Glasgow, knew it was going to be a great night after that. ASOH is one I really want to tick of my list and I don't think they'll play it in the future if it doesn't make the cut this time round . These songs and some mentioned in the previous few pages take me back to the barrowlands gig (Glasgow) on the Unforgettable Fire tour, another bootleg I've had and listened to for years. (A home away from home, the November 6th gig)
  6. Greg, I thought you'd be rather excited by last night's rehearsals
  7. Anyone find it odd that no Boy songs have been rehearsed so far?
  8. I bet we will get IWF at the very least
  9. Yes, but they can play IWF in their sleep, and we'll definitely get that. I'm hoping OOC turns up too. They still have a week to go...
  10. I don't think songs like these need much work. No synths or additional instruments and both I'm heavy rotation recently. Hope we see both (especially OOC).
  11. I'll find it odd If they don't play any on the opening night, maybe as mentioned above they don't feel the need to rehearse them as much. There's definitely a bit of room to fill in the setlist and the boy songs could well be the answer.

You think they can play IWF in their sleep, but early Popmart shows prove not. They can screw songs like One badly if they don't rehearse them enough.
