1. A quick note, New Year's Day was played and sung with all the verses like the studio version. Something really rare for U2 to do....it sounded really good.

It thought so! It maybe was just the quality of the periscope but the song sounded a little bit 'heavier' and more moody and atmospheric. It was really, really cool.

So wait... it had the last verse? "And so we are told that this is the golden age"?????

    HOT DAMN!

    Nice! Thanks for the updates!
  6. Now THAT is a first for me. One thing is the "maybe the time is right" part, and other thing is the last verse (my fav one btw). I don't think we've heard that live... EVER.

Not in memory, no sir. And you know that's my favorite verse in the song, too!

  8. Yes, that's called dress rehearsal and they (and everybody) have been doing it for decades
  9. I have seen NYD live once , can't really remember it, so it would be nice if I get to hear it again!

I've actually never heard this song live and it is one of my favourites, which is true for 'The Unforgettable Fire' altogether. 'Wire' or 'Indian Summer Sky' would be another one that would be great to experience live. Let's see ...

That would be epic...... start the show with Sort of Homecoming that seques into the red blur long intro of Streets !!!!!!!

Wait so the piano was shorter or?
  12. Me, too. Not since 1992.

(Although, gasp, I've only been to five shows since).
