  5. I've been listening some more to the little things that give you away and I'm struggling to think of a u2 song with a more uplifting sounding outro. I realise it's difficult to even hear lyrics and it's not exactly crystal clear quality but what I hear sounds great. When the video cuts off as well it's like the songs still continuing to take off, probably getting massively carried away but I'm majorly excited about hearing this hopefully both live and on SOE.
  6. I have no problem with reinventing versions like they've always done. Running To Stand Still on Zoo TV was as far as it could from the album version, and I think we all agree it's an incredible renvention of the song. I have no problem with departing long from the album versions.

    Just no rants and no raps. Pretty please.
  7. The I&E Rant & Rap on Bullet was epic. Wouldn't have an issue with it if they did it on TJT.

    Im actually in the minority with the zoo tv version of running to stand still in thinking it's my least favourite version of the song. The build up part to Streets was incredible but I'd rather hear the vertigo tour version or the original Joshua tree tour version. With bullet I've enjoyed some of the solo parts the edge has put into the live versions but the I&E version was my least favourite because of how the rant disrupted the flow of the song.

    Running to Stand Still's best version was on the original JT tour or Vertigo IMO.
  10. So I'm not alone in my way of thinking. The thing is it's all in relative terms anyway, I wouldn't skip the songs if I was listening to or watching a gig. Its when it comes to making a live playlist where I can really find out which versions are my favourite. I've got a good feeling about this tour though, I reckon they'll give us some very strong versions of some of there finest work. The second half of the JT will probably not have been rehearsed so extensively since the original Joshua Tree tour. We're looking at a very strong setlist and a potentially more intense show than they've done for many years. It's hard to even imagine the atmosphere when they go from exit straight into mothers of the disappeared, having already experienced the rest of the JT album.
  11. Vertigo RTSS were pretty terrible in my opinion. Way too long and drawn out with some dodgy guitar. Keep it original or rework it completely.
  12. Any version of RTSS is pretty special to me personally. As i said in my interview, great memories of singing it loudly and drunkenly in a bar in Glasgow before the second Hydro I&E show.
