Just no rants and no raps. Pretty please.
Bingo. Love that version. Please bring it back?
  2. I have no problem with a little rant, he is able to use his voice if he want's to. Music wise i love every creative efford they put in the show. So this version would work.

  3. Fair enough. Just keep in mind that epic rant was about as long as a song. If you'd rather have an epic rant and lose a full song, I hope you get what you wish for. I just hope its not at my show.
  4. I want a rant tour.

Great point as well, we could lose October this tour which would probably last less than the rant on bullet alone. In fact we could have had electric co every night on the I&E tour in addition to Gloria or out Of Control instead of it being a rotational.

    +1
  7. 1 week!!!

  8. We're acting as if there's a rant then it guarantees no additional song. I'm sure the rant will be part of the show along with however many songs they feel like playing. The only places a rant would affect any show would be at stadiums with strict time limits. The JoShua Tree is America, and there's no way nobody can go off on an angry tangent considering the state of the country, especially a political band like U2. We all knew this coming into the tour, the whole idea is "bringing the album full circle" because where the world is at the moment. There's going to be rants. At least in the US.
  9. Let them sing or say what they want? I'd be happy just getting to a concert.

No problem with an angry tangent. I'm all for it. But much like a jam band, after about 3 minutes, you're losing me. It's America. Short attention span. With the lights out, it's less dangerous, here we are now, entertain us...

And of course there is no guarantee it will shorten set list, but the odds lean that way. And... it's America. Most cities have ordinances with curfews on shows.

So... let me rephrase. Rant on, Bono... Just please make them snippets.

The lyrics in the song combined with the visuals and manner of performance should be enough to show the bands feelings without having to go into any more detail the songs tell there own story without Bono literally telling them. I'm not saying it will ruin the show or anything, the I&E tour was great and didn't actually feature an ott amount of rants but I definitely prefer a rant free performance.
