    Maybe the band just particularly like miss Sarajevo at the moment. Did Bono not say it and stay were his favourite u2 tracks? Plus with the exception of the Pavarotti bit which tests bono's vocals it's quite an easy one to play.

    Hope they've dropped the idea altogether.
  4. I wouldn't mind if it's only video for a break, like The Fly in the previous tour. If they start passing down masks in an actual song, then it's time to sound the alarms.

    Mmm... I think Bono's favorite songs are Stay and EBW, I forgot about the third one, it could be MS.
    I don't think Bono has the only vote on the selection of songs anyway.
    I'm fine with the song, it's just that it's very out of left field.
  8. I suppose it's a fair point to ask what happened to Every breaking wave too. Perhaps in the second part of the i&e tour they can drop WOWY and play the full band EBW instead.

    Yeah I'd think edge maybe has slightly more say than any but only slightly. It's because of the fact it's so left field at least to us outsiders that makes me think they've got a strong connection with the song but yeah i certainly don't think many people would have predicted it pre rehearsals.

    By this point they'll no doubt drop all the amazing rarities they've been playing across North America and wheel out Vertigo, Elevation and maybe Mysterious Ways if we're lucky.
  11. Bono recently received honorary citizenship of Sarajevo, that may be a factor. It's nearly 20 years since they played there also.

    Above all that, it's a beautiful song. I would rather hear Miss Sarajevo over Elevation/Desire/AOH. Looking forward to hearing it on Friday.
