at this point, after playing I Will Follow and Out Of Control over 1600 times total, i doubt they need to rehearse it. besides, there is the chance they are leaving some songs out of rehearsals at the stadium to surprise us. And come on they've played I will follow at nearly every concert since the beginning there is no way they aren't playing for this tour. they did 30 years ago
Nyd has been played over 1000 times, and yet they rehearsed it
  2. It's a different key and the full version for the first time since...?
  3. Yeah, I vaguely recall an interview where I think it was either Bono or Edge said they had to go out and buy all their back catalogue on CD during rehearsals prior to a tour to relearn their own songs as they hadn't played them for over a decade (typical exaggeration, as they'd probably played them a couple of years previously or something).

Can't remember when this was from, think maybe either Zoo TV or Pop, but its stuck in my mind ever since.

And the one time they didn't rehearse one of these (360 tour Barcelona with "One"), they completely screwed it up the first time

Bono and I agree on this...

Exactly, he could sing it all on the 360 tour, I reckon he still could do the opera parts. The Pavarotti track seems pointless, the crowd won't get the reason why it's like that, neither do I!

Very similar to Lou Reed on Zoo TV, so I think the "in crowd" gets it.

  7. I'm still debating... I'll be tuning in Friday, for sure. But after that... Do I want to know the set inside and out by the time I see them? Decisions, decisions...
